Photographic business in administration

Insolvency specialists at Leonard Curtis & Co have been appointed administrators of photographic companies FotoStop Express and Marston Associates.

Partners Jonathan Schapira and Stephen Swaden were appointed administrators last Friday.

They said the photographic businesses had been badly affected by the foot and mouth crisis and Septemeber 11, which led to cancellation of large numbers of orders of their equipment and services.

Fotostop, which supply photographic processing equipment to chemists, small retailers and convenience stores across the country, employed 60 people and had a turnover of just under £15m in the year to September 2001. Marston Associates provides lease finance ffor photo processing equipment.
