Appointment at HLB Kidsons.

HLB Kidsons has announced the appointments of Andrew Baker as office managing partner of Chester and Liverpool and Mark Blakemore as office managing partner of Manchester, Altrincham and Blackburn. Baker and Blakemore have been with the firm for 13 and 14 years respectively and are its youngest managing partners. Baker, who specialises in corporate services, will be responsible for a total staff of almost 90 across the two offices, including eight partners. He takes over from Peter Sills who becomes northern regional managing partner, and who will oversee the firm’s nine northern offices and represent them at national level. Blakemore, who also heads up the firm’s forensic practice in the north and is HLB Kidsons’ national spokesperson on forensic issues, will now have management responsibility for 117 staff and 17 partners. He takes over from Nick Robinson who has been appointed to lead HLB Kidsons’ new national e-business team, setting the strategic direction of the firm and ensuring delivery of key projects in this area.
