The deluge of email greetings and graphic applications with festive messages gives virus writers the perfect opportunity to ‘create viruses that use these messages to fool users and trick them into opening files which contain malicious code,’ warns the company.

Two viruses taking advantage of the tactic are Klez.I and Bride.B. The company recommends users keep their guard up and treat email messages with great caution.
