US accountants to see pay rise

IFRS still a marketable skill for the US profession

Accountants in the US will still see their salaries rise, despite the
economic downturn and the descent into recession.

According to research from Robert Half
International
, US salaries should rise by an average of 3.4%.

Webcpa.com
reported Robert Half as saying recruiters are showing the most interest in
hiring people who can help them ‘reduce inefficiencies’ and ‘enhance
profitability’.

The report says those with knowledge of international accounting standards
are among the most marketable.
