Experian acquires Eiger

Experian brings transaction validation company on board

Global information business Experian has acquired payments-processing company
Eiger.

The deal sees Eiger, which is known for its work around BACS processing
technology, tie with Experian’s ID management software company QAS.

Experian expects clients to be able to validate customer name and address
details with their bank information.

Harry Meikle, group MD of QAS, said the deal should ‘reinforce ‘the company’s
ability to enable clients to ensure the integrity of customer data with ‘greater
precision’.
