ACCA students left waiting for results

A ‘significant number’ of the 60,000 ACCA students waiting for summer exam results were kept in the dark last weekend after exam results failed to arrive in the post.

An accountancy lecturer, also an ACCA member, said the 400 students at his college affected were ‘frustrated and upset.’ He said: ‘It has been a shambolic affair.’

ACCA director Ross Midgley said the delay was a result of problems at the mailing house employed by the association but denied the delay was a result of a resources cut-back. He said students without results should contact them by post.
