Revenue staff among worst IT misusers
Hundreds of Inland Revenue staff have been disciplined for computer misuse over the past year.

The misuse means breaking Whitehall rules on the use of technology and could include the downloading of pornography and even changing and snooping on taxpayers records.
322 Revenue staff were disciplined last year, with 1,174 being chastised over a period of six years. The Revenue came out among the worst of all government department’s, the Liberal Democrat study revealed.
Other departments whose staff were taken to task include the Ministry of Defence and the Department for Work and Pensions.
