North-West London practice Pearlmans was one of the first firms to install Genesis Practice Manager, a program developed by accountancy firm Genesis. With 13 workstations linked by the Genesis software, Pearlmans IT partner Gary Good reports the practice now ‘revolves around it. The task screen (left) shows tasks set automatically by the system, telephone messages and outstanding instructions to staff,’ he says. ‘The computer anticipates around 90% of the things that can keep you awake at night and can tell me where I am with my correspondence and what my work in progress and fee position is.’
