Boeing loses top executive
Boeing chairman and chief executive Phil Condit has resigned, one week after a recruitment scandal which saw the company sack its finance chief.
The board accepted Condit’s decision to step down ‘with sadness’. Harry Stonecipher has replaced him as chief executive, while Lew Platt has taken on the role of non-executive chairman.
Former Boeing CFO Mike Sears was sacked last Monday after an internal investigation revealed that he had violated company policy by discussing a job offer with Darleen Druyun, then a US pentagon official, while she was still working on Boeing-related matters.
