    Andersen clients review options

    A number of Andersen's FTSE-100 audit clients are considering their options after the splintering firm's decision to merge with Deloitte & Touche UK.

    According to reports today, media group WPP is ‘reviewing alternatives’, while confectionery giant Cadbury Schweppes has put its audit ‘under review’.

    Andersen had been Cadbury Schweppes auditor for ten years and told Accountancy Age in March it had been satisfied with the firm’s work.

    At the time it also said its board and audit committee had reviewed Andersen seriously and would be seeking the firm’s reappointment at its AGM in May.

    But it added: ‘We reserve the right to keep the matter under review.’
