New finance chief for troubled travel giant
Stagecoach, Britain's largest train and bus operator, has today appointed a new finance director.
Martin Griffiths has been promoted to the role from his current position as group business development manager.
He will replace former finance director Keith Cochrane, who was promoted to chief executive following his predecessor Mike Kinski’s resignation last month.
The group has been hit by a number of problems, including shares which have underperformed the British transport sector, top-level resignations, speculation about board splits and a recent profit warning.
