Irish regulator has new chair

New chairman of the Chartered Accountants Regulatory Board

Chris Gibson has been appointed chairman of the Chartered Accountants
Regulatory Board in Ireland, effective July 1.

He will succeed Liam O’Reilly. Gibson was previously chairman and managing
director of ICI in Ireland, a commercial director of Irish Fertiliser Industries
Limited and managing director (UK) of Golden Vale.

His extensive directorship experience includes being a former chairman of the
CBI in Northern Ireland and a nine-year term as pro chancellor of Queens
University Belfast, the Irish Examiner reported.
