Accountant to share chief exec role at retailer
Loss-making retailer Laura Ashley has split up its chief executive post - vacated by KC Ng - between an accountant and a former Malaysian attorney general.
The company will now be run by Ainum Mohd-Saaid, and Rebecca Navarednam, an accountant and former chief financial officer at steel giant Corus and Regal Hotels.
This decision came as the company announced a pre-tax loss of £14.1m, its worst performance in four years.
The company’s share price was last trading at 6.38p, having fallen from a high of 13p in November.
