Douglas Llambias Associates opens in Moscow

Recruitment consultancy Douglas Llambias Associates has opened an office in Moscow to manage the increasing volume of client work it has there.

According to Jacque Field, director of Douglas Llambias’ international recruitment division: “There are really so many clients in Moscow and St Petersburg, we had to have a contact on the ground. It is something that we have been planning for a couple of years.” She added: “The catalyst has just been the increase in business that we are dealing with in that region.”

Douglas Llambias has worked on joint ventures with other consultancies in the Russian region for the past three years, and is looking to cement some of these alliances.

Field revealed that the firm is investigating closer alliances and acquisitions in the region, but would not comment further. Two consultants will be based in the Russian office. At the end of 1998 the firm expects consultant numbers to increase to 20.
