YO! Sushi names Fowler FD

The former FD responsible for growing Whitbread's restaurant division by 40% is served up a new challenge

YO! Sushi has appointed James Fowler as its new finance chief.

The former finance director of Whitbread’s restaurant division said: ‘It’s a
fantastic brand which has incredible potential both in the UK and overseas. The
company has a fantastic record of achievement since its launch and the future
looks equally as exciting.’

Fowler spent 13 years at Whitbread’s restaurant division and was instrumental
in growing its profits by 40% across the company’s portfolio. He also spent
three years as FD within the group’s Costa Coffee division which during his rein
opened over 50 sites annually.

Under chief executive Robin Rowland the group hopes to expand its global
network from 45 restaurants worldwide to 100 by 2012.

YO! Sushi was recently acquired by private equity company Quilvest in March
this year.
