Three directors at Smith & Williamson have left to join the same company

Three former Smith & Williamson directors have taken on roles with
privately-owned investment management firm JM Finn & Co.

Roy Hodges, Andrew Veitch and Simon Tufnell are all to become investment
managers at JM Finn & Co and will all be based in the London office.

Hodges and Veitch were directors in the investment management division of
Smith & Williamson, with Tufnell as associate director. All three will
report directly to the chairman James Edgedale at JM Finn & Co.

Prior to Smith & Williamson Hodges and Veitch worked at Laurie Milbank
& Co, the investment broker which was acquired by Chase Manhattan bank in
1986. Hodges and Veitch became partner at NCL Securities in 1989 with Tufnell
joining the duo in 1999 which merged with Smith & Williamson in 2002.

James Edgedale, Chairman of JM Finn &Co, said: ‘These appointments
reflect our commitment to attracting first class investment managers for the
benefit of our clients.’
