Alan Newton, former managing director of the firm’s flagship Edinburgh office has succeeded Bill Davidson, Tenon’s chief operating officer, as head of the company’s Scottish region.
Meanwhile, Margaret Bell has taken over from Newton. Bell was previously accountancy firm Scott Oswald’s sole female partner when she was appointed in 1997.
In addition, David Holt has joined from Deloitte as a director in business services. Holt will cover accountancy, outsourcing, corporate finance and tax work. Nick Parker has joined as a director of tax and relocated from Tenon’s Southampton office. He will be responsible for the development of the firm’s tax practice throughout Scotland.
The appointment of four new directors takes the total director complement to 20 north of the Border. The firm has about 250 staff in seven offices in Scotland.
