Granada finance director makes £1.3m on share options
TV and rental giant Granada's 1999 results show its finance director, Henry Staunton, make a profit of £1.3m on his share options in the year.
However, according to reports today, his remuneration was dwarfed by that of Gerry Robinson, chairman of the media and hospitality group Granada, made around £6.4m last year, after his salary was taken to more than £1m for the first time and he exercised more than 1m share options.
A Granada spokesman said: ‘This is a potentially very competitive market and so we have to pay competitive salaries.’
Staunton is a fellow of the English ICA.
