Budget 06: £600m for future Olympics champions

Alongside the investment of £3.4bn to host the Olympics, Gordon Brown has announced investment in facilities for future champions.

The government will provide £200m to establish world class facilities to
train up athletes for the 2012 Olympic games in London. This will be added to by
£100m from sponsorship and £300m from the national lottery.
