Eduardo Loigorri, co-founder and managing director of Exchequer, has promised to continue to run the Business Application Software Developers Association, as an independent standards body, after being appointed new chairman.

Loigorri replaced Theo van Dort, who is retiring after ten years in the role, at the recent BASDA annual general meeting and he said he saw his role as ‘being to encourage BASDA to remain true to its roots’ as a trade organisation for the business software developers market.
He also promised to ‘significantly develop its place as an independent standards body which will help us determine and influence the shape of our own industry’.
Theo van Dort, for his contribution to BASDA over ten years, was unanimously adopted as life president.
