Navision's Gateway to trading
Danish-based Navision has become the first vendor to release a global solution based on Microsoft BizTalk Server 2000.
The company, which recently rebranded from NavisionDamgaard, has unveiled ‘Commerce Gateway’, a business-to-business solution for mid-sized companies that opens up Navision Financials to electronic exchange of trading documents.
Microsoft BizTalk Server 2000 is the foundation for standards-based business process orchestration within and between organisations.
Commerce Gateway aims to lever out the strengths of the Server to allow virtually any two systems to exchange documents.
‘This release will make it easy for our mid-market customers to participate in the supply chains of much larger companies,’ said Niels Bo Theilgaard, Navision executive vice president for product organisation. ‘We have just released Commerce Gateway which is already solving business, challenges for our early adopters.’
Navison and Damgaard merged in December to produce a company with revenues of £100m. Navision owns 72%.
