Sixteen of the largest UK house builders have formed a joint initiative, dubbed EBUILD-XML, in a bid to aid the development of e-commerce in the house building sector.
The initiative, which is one of the first industry based collaborative ecommerce initiatives, is being led by BASDA. It is helping the house builders and suppliers to develop a B2B e-commerce system that will initially enable them to exchange orders and invoices electronically between their different computer systems.
