i2 and BroadVision have agreed a joint development to provide a best of breed solution for the entire e-commerce value chain.

NewsEdge Corporation/AstraZeneca

E-content and global news provider NewsEdge has agreed to provide industry news and company information worldwide for internal and external customers of pharmaceutical company AstraZeneca.

Viewlocity/Bid Freight Global

E-supply chain specialist Viewlocity has agreed to supply its Tradesync integration broker to logistics solutions provider Bid Freight Global, enabling it to automate collaboration with its carriers and third party service providers.

XN Corporation/Samsung

XN has announced a deal to provide an EpoS system to Asian theme park Samsung Everland. Dual screen devices will allow advertising revenues to be generated to cover technology costs.

Catalogue retailer Argos has appointed Nemea to boost its project management resources during the testing and implementation of key IT projects.

Internet messaging infrastructure provider Critical Path has agreed a deal with Internet service provider E-Go Systems to deliver unified messaging solutions to clients.

Manufacturing system solutions provider Made2Manage has agreed a deal to supply its customers with Interact’s SalesLogix2000 software. It will be available with M2M’s integrated package later this year.

Printmountain/Advantage Business Systems

Online print procurement service Printmountain has agreed a £160,000 contract with e-solutions provider Advantage, to use its CRM and financial accounting software.

i2 Technologies/Siemens

Siemens and i2 Technologies have signed a strategic partnership agreement designed to transform Siemens into an e-business powerhouse. Siemens is to use i2’s software to manage its global supply chain and standardise customer and supplier processes.


E-commerce solutions provider Versata has teamed up with “interactive architect” Rubus, combining the latter’s web-applications expertise with Versata’s e-Business Automation System.

Lucent Technologies/Internet Security Systems

Lucent has named ISS as a preferred provider of managed security services for its CyberCarrier programme.

Agresso/Queen Mary, University of London E-solutions provider Agresso has won a contract worth £1.25m to provide Queen Mary, University of London with a financial and business information management system, which also includes high level remote system support.

CRM specialist Interchange is to become a reseller for Oracle’s e-Business Suite, and a member of the global network of Oracle resellers.

NETg/Knowledge Management Software

E-learning company NETg has placed an order worth £130,000 for Deskartes, the knowledge management software solution from KMS. It will be used as a value-added service for clients of NETg’s online learning destination, XtremeLearning.

ScottishPower has selected Graham Technology to help improve customer service for its US energy customers. It will install GT-X CRM technology in the call centre at ScottishPower’s subsidiary, PacifiCorp.

BP has agreed a contract to deploy the Plumtree Corporate Portal across its 50,000 employees. It is part of a company-wide initiative to create a single web tool, enabling its employees to access the enterprise applications, Internet information and corporate information they require.


E-commerce metals provider MetalSite has agreed a deal for an integration service for its customers and supply chain partners, with e-business integration provider CommerceQuest.


Supply chain software solutions provider Heyde and integrated logistics services provider Fiege have created F-Link, a European joint venture in logistics IT which will be used across the Fiege Group.


Logtek, part of the LINPAC group, has chosen Digica to provide AS/400 and applications management services for its business systems, in a three-year contract.

Agresso has agreed a £350,00 deal to supply the University of Huddersfield with a financial and business information management system. The university plans to implement the system for August 2001.
