CBI appoints Gillett tax chairman

The Confederation of British Industry has appointed ICI group taxation controller Philip Gillett as its new chairman of its Taxation Committee.

Gillett will take over from GlaxoSmithKline’s Nicholas Dee, who has been chairman of the tax policy committee since 1998.

He has been a member of the committee for the past five years and has been at ICI since 1995. He is also a vice president of the Association of Corporate Treasurers and vice chairman of the Corporate Tax subcommittee of the Chartered Institute of Taxation.
