www.PrivateFinance-i.com was developed by SMi, a provider of PFI/PPP information to the international community, in conjunction with the UK government.
A number of major companies have already committed themselves to the initiative including law firm Eversheds, Barclays Bank, construction services group Carillion and the Sumitomo Bank.
SMi director Ashley Glover said ‘This is the first time those involved in the sector have been able to find everything they need in order to conduct business in one place.’
Glover said the site would save users a significant amount of time and keep them up to date with all PFI/PPP deals around the world.
The website has attempted a new approach to displaying information, with all news stories, reports and tenders categorised by industry sector, ensuring that even the most specialised markets are catered for.
In addition, the site will contain a fully searchable archive of all PFI/PPP tender notices around the world.
