Despite a widening role in business, most respondents (77%) said they still describe themselves as accountants.
How do you describe your role to people?
Just nine per cent of the people who answered the survey said they described themselves as business advisers and seven per cent said they were consultants – which goes some way to show the Monty Python image of the profession has been shaken off or at least is not considered an embarrassment by those who answered. Seven per cent of the sample did not answer this question.
