New partners beef-up Baker Tilly

Edinburgh practice appoints two new partners

Baker Tilly’s Edinburgh practice continues to grow following the appointment
of two new partners.

The mid-tier firm has added Mark Stewart, formerly director of tax, and Alex
Tait, previously director of business services, bring its total number of
partners North of the Border to 12, while total staff stands at 110.

Tait becomes one of the UK network’s youngest partners at just 31.

Stewart, 37, joined the firm in 2005 from KPMG, having gained more than 13
years’ corporate tax experience.

Tait joined Baker Tilly as a trainee after graduating from Dundee University
in 1996, qualifying as a CA in 1999. He was promoted to director in 2005,
The Herald reported.
