Friends Provident appoints group accounting chief
Friends Provident appoints Jim Halliday as head of group accounting.
FTSE100 life and pensions provider Friends Provident has appointed Jim Halliday as head of group accounting with immediate effect.

A statement said that Halliday’s appointment reflected the ‘importance of commercial and technical accounting advice’ at the company.
Halliday will provide financial advice on appraising corporate transactions and in answering enquiries from the investment community, as well as continue to manage internal finance responsibilities. He has been with the company since 1987 and previously worked for Midland Bank and Coopers & Lybrand where he qualified as a chartered accountant.
Philip Moore, group finance director at Friends Provident, said: ‘Jim has a wealth of accounting and commercial experience to bring to the role, which will help Friends Provident maintain the highest level of financial management.’
