Twenty-eight percent of those questioned said accountants were their most useful advisors, with only 15% saying they did not use them at all.
According to in-a-minutesolutions.com, which carried out the survey for Omnibus, 99.2% of all UK businesses are small, having less than 50 employees, with over 200,000 new company registrations every year.
‘This sector is a major opportunity for accountants, but only if the basic services can be offered at very reasonable prices without impacting on in house resources,’ said Barry Spencer-Higgins of In-a-minutesolutions.com, which provides services to the SME sector.
