EMI CFO Stewart appointed as audit committee chair for London 2012 Organising Committee
EMI group CFO Martin Stewart is chairing the audit committee for the London
2012 Organising Committee.
The body, responsible for staging and hosting the games, has appointed
Stewart to monitor the integrity of its financial statements and performance,
while holding responsibility for assessing controls and risk management and
monitoring the body’s audit functions.
‘He will be a strong and robust independent non-executive director and
chairman of our audit committee, and I’m delighted to welcome him to the London
2012 team,’ said Sebastian Coe, chairman of the London 2012 Organising
Committee.
Stewart spent eight years as CFO of BSkyB prior to joining EMI, and is a
former FD of Polygram UK.
