Begbies in joint venture with US restructuring giant

Begbies joins forces with US firm Mesirow on complex and major cross border projects

Begbies Traynor has entered into a joint venture with US firm Mesirow
Financial Consulting, in a move designed to give them access to new markets.

The two restructuring giants will work under the BTG Mesirow Financial
Consulting banner when working on complex, cross-border projects.

The deal raises the profile for both firms in each other’s respective
markets.

“We have been seeking to raise our profile in the commercially important U.S.
market and the joint venture with Mesirow Financial Consulting will facilitate
this,” said Ric Traynor, executive chairman, Begbies Traynor Group.

“Together, we will work with clients on complex, cross-border engagements to
develop comprehensive restructuring solutions, which can serve as a solid
foundation for future success.”

“Advising clients every day in multiple geographies has become increasingly
important,” said Ralph S Tuliano, Mesirow Financial Consulting president and
executive managing director.
