New editor and deputy for Accountancy Age
Accountancy Age has a new Editor and Deputy Editor. Damian Wild, until now News Editor is the new Editor and Liz Loxton, Features Editor, is promoted to Deputy Editor.
The moves follow the promotion of Douglas Broom to head one of the operating companies of the paper’s owners VNU Business Publications. Broom, who became Editor in August 1997 has been appointed General Manager of Learned Information (Europe) Ltd, VNU’s UK conference and exhibition business.
Wild joined Accountancy Age as News Editor in January last year. He was formerly a City reporter on CNNfn, the Web news service, and Chief Reporter of Public Finance. He has also worked for the South China Morning Post in Hong Kong.
Loxton was Features Editor of the insurance industry weekly Post Magazine before joining Accountancy Age in April 1998. She was Editor of Geographic Information Systems Europe and has written for The Independent on Sunday and The Guardian.
