A special advisory service for accountancy firms that may be approached by consolidators has been set up by law firm Rowe & Maw and corporate finance specialist Douglas Llambias.
The move comes after the recent launch of two rival consolidators, Tenon and Jobtel, which both intend to set up accountancy service businesses formed by a grouping of mid-tier and smaller firms. Both are currently talking to unnamed ‘interested parties’.
Both are seeking to create organisations of a size that would rival the Big Five and redraw the mid-tier league table.
Douglas Llambias has acted as lead adviser in numerous mid-tier mergers and small practice sales.
