FRC's Boyle to head international audit body

FRC head Paul Boyle elected to chair influential international audit regulation body

Paul Boyle, the chief executive of the UK’s Financial Reporting Council, has
been appointed as chairman of the International Forum of Independent Audit
Regulators (IFIAR).

The 21-member body appointed Boyle at a two-day meeting held in Toronto this
week, where the key issues of turbulent world markets, exchange of information
between audit regulators and international auditing standards were all
discussed.

The IFIAR members agreed that they would continue to review impediments to
information exchange between national regulators.
