Biodiesel producer brings in Christopher Tawney to take financial control of the AIM-quoted corporate
D1 Oils has
appointed Christopher Tawney as its new group FD.
The UK producer of biodiesel’s new finance chief left the FD position at WBB
Minerals to take up the role.
Tawney has 27 years of experience in various finance roles with international
blue chip companies.
After beginning his career as an auditor at Price Waterhouse London in 1980
he graduated to finance roles at United City Merchants, and Publicitas Holdings
UK before becoming financial controller and then head of tax at General
Utilities. He was also a previous FD of Thomson (UK) Holdings.
Lord Oxburgh of Liverpool, chairman of D1 Oils said: ‘We are delighted to
welcome Christopher Tawney to the board as our new group FD. Chris has a strong
track record and we believe his leadership will significantly strengthen our
financial team as D1 continues to grow.’
