    Former Standard Life chief accountant joins E&Y

    New audit partner at Big Four firm

    George Reid, a former group chief accountant and financial reporting
    director at Standard Life, has joined Ernst & Young as its new audit
    partner.

    He will operate out the firm’s Edinburgh office.

    Besides his work at the insurance group, Reid is also a former senior manager
    with PricewaterhouseCoopers.

    Gregor Stewart, head of Ernst & Young’s Scottish financial services
    advisory unit, said Reid was an ‘important addition to the team’.
