Reed goes into administration

PwC has been appointed administrators of Reed Print & Design after 90-day consultation with employees

PricewaterhouseCoopers
(PwC) has been called in as administrators of Washington, Tyne and Wear-based
printer Reed & Design.

The potential closure of the business would mean losses of 148 jobs,
printweek.com reports.

‘It is a very, very sad day for the company,’ Paul Reed, Reed business
development manager, said. ‘Out primary concerns now are our employees,
suppliers and customers. They are all that matter at present.’

The company, which was established in 1968, moved into the new site in
December 2005 after a fire destroyed its former premises in Washington.
