Begbies sets up corporate investigations arm

Former major in the Canadian armed forces to lead team

Mid-tier firm and corporate recovery specialists
Begbies Trayner has launched an
investigation services division to be called BGN Risk.

BGN Risk will be led by partners Liam Morrissey and Richard Warman, who have
joined from the Larmonte Group, a corporate security consultancy recently taken
over by Begbies.

Warman is a chartered accountant and former KPMG partner and Morrissey is a
former major in the Canadian
armed forces
and also served five years as head of risk management and
security at Tesco in Ireland.

Begbies chairman Ric Traynor said: ‘The risk management and security services
offered by BGN Risk are, in a world where these issues are increasingly at the
forefront of corporate agendas, an area where there are many growth
opportunities.’
