David Leather, formerly the finance chief of the Manchester Commonwealth
Games, has been appointed as the CFO of the Olympic Delivery Authority’s
transition team.
The London Development Agency, which is acting as the interim ODA until the
full-time organisation is established by statute next year, announced Leather’s
appointment earlier today.
An Ernst & Young partner, Leather will be responsible for establishing
the finance team for the interim ODA and establishing effective financial
systems and managing budgets and forecasts.
The LDA said Leather would hold the interim CFO position for ‘a period of
months’ until a permanent appointment it made.
