Taxware launches Euro-channel strategy

Roger Wilkins, Taxware’s director of international business development, said the timing reflected a new awareness among European-based corporations of the increasing complexity of VAT, GST (goods and services tax) and sales/use tax compliance.

He added: ‘Much of this new awareness is being driven by the complex debates within the EU and OECD on how to tax digitised goods sold via the internet.

But there is also a wider concern within corporations that consumption taxes, such as VAT, pose an increasing challenge to companies that trade globally.’
