Marshall joins board at Queens Moat
Hotel group, Queens Moat, has appointed Steve Marshall, an accountant and former chief executive of Railtrack, as its new chairman, as part of number of high-level boardroom changes.

He will take responsibility for overseeing the current strategic review and discussions with lenders announced on 29 September, expected to be completed shortly.
Marshall’s appointment follows the resignations of chair, Richard Jewson, and also Michael Beckett, both non-executive directors since 1993.
Andrew Glasgow OBE, currently chief executive officer of Coal Products, and Kailayapillai Ranjan, currently finance director of Petchey (Holdings), have both joined the board as non-executive directors.
Queens Moat says that the changes will allow its executive management team – headed by group chief executive, Stuart Metcalfe – to remain focused on the operational management of the business.
