HMRC opens up online to non-VAT registered advisers

Non-VAT registered advisers can now use the Government Gateway on behalf of clients

Non VAT-registered tax advisers will be able to file their clients VAT
returns online from 23 November.

The taxman had acknowledged that increasing use of the online Government
Gateway required access for non-VAT registered advisers.

HM Revenue
& Customs
estimated that the move would open up the gateway to
around 25,000 advisers.
