New marketing director for the Revenue
The Inland Revenue has appointed its very first director of marketing as part of a major communications initiative.
The Inland Revenue has appointed its very first director of marketing as part of a major communications initiative.
Ian Schoolar has been brought in to help the Revenue understand the needs of its customers and joins the Revenue from NatWest Bank where he was head of Brand communications.
From 1987 Schoolar was a partner in McInnes Schoolar which specialised in marketing and advertising services to the financial services industry. And from 1989 to 1991 he was Corporate Communication Manager for National Power.
Schoolar will oversee all aspects of the Revenue’s communications work including leaflets and forms, press and advertising, the internet and internal communications.
Revenue chairman Nick Montagu, said: ‘The nature of the Revenue has changed profoundly in the last few years and it is important that we increase our understanding of our customers and their needs.
‘The Revenue is becoming an enabling Department not just a regulating one and Ian’s role in carrying forward that transition is a vital one.’
