ASB strengthens board with senior appointments

UK standards board takes on two more members: Andy Simmonds, of Deloitte, and Nick Anderson, of HBOS

The Accounting Standards Board has announced two additions – Andy Simmonds,
of Deloitte, and Nick Anderson, of HBOS plc.

Simmonds is a consultation partner in the National Accounting and Audit
department of Deloitte, as well as chairman of the Financial Reporting Committee
of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales.

Anderson is head of equity research at Insight Investment, where he oversees
a team of analysts and also sees to a full range of financial reporting issues.
He is also a member of the Corporate Reporting Users Forum.

FRC chairman, Sir Christopher Hogg welcomed the two additions saying: ‘I
warmly welcome Andy Simmonds and Nick Anderson as members of the Accounting 
Standards Board. Both Andy and Nick bring a wealth of experience to add to what
is already a very strong board.’
