The group has appointed Wilma Allan, the former finance director from First Great Western, as bid director at its Rail Division.
Keith Ludeman, chief executive of Go-Ahead’s Rail Division said recent successes with Thameslink and South Central meant the company needed to expand its bid team.
He said Allan was chosen because of her high levels of expertise in the financial management of train operations.
Go Ahead will bid for the Greater Anglia franchise and is already preparing for a formal briefing, it expect to receive from the Strategic Rail Authority during September.
