The London office of Wilkins Kennedy has merged with WH Payne & Co to form a team in the capital.
The combined firm will operate under the Wilkins Kennedy brand, with Peter Villa as managing partner of the merged office. Ron Smith, senior partner of WH Payne, and William Payne, partner and the founder’s great grandson, will become partners of Wilkins Kennedy. Wilkins Kennedy is ranked 27th largest accounting firm according to the 2003 Accountancy Age Top 50. The 30 plus staff of WH Payne will also join the London office of Wilkins Kennedy. Wilkins Kennedy has seven offices across London and the southeast with 34 partners and 232 staff.
Bentley Jennison Corporate Finance has advised on the acquisition of Birmingham-based ventilation system company Major Air Systems by Vulcan Technology. Bentley Jennison worked for eight months putting the deal together, with the Bank of Scotland providing much of the funding. Coventry-based Vulcan provides specialised building services project management on major construction projects for clients, including the MoD and a number of health authorities. The combined group will employ 31 people.
