Maurice Fitzpatrick, the Chantrey Vellacott tax partner, is set to join accountancy-based business services group Tenon.
In something of a coup for Teneon, Fitzpatrick, frequently quoted in the media, will join the firm on 1 August after spending eight years at Chantrey Vellacott.
He will join the company as director of taxation services and head of economics.
Tenon recently edged closer to becoming a top ten firm after acquiring five firms for £60m. The firm is within £10m of replacing Baker Tilly in the Accountancy Age Top 50, after last month announcing the acquisition of the non-audit businesses of the Lathams Group, Scott Oswald, Jennings Johnson, the Godfrey Allan Group and the corporate recovery business of Horwath Clark Whitehill.
