Andrew Shilston has been appointed as the new finance director at aero-engines group Rolls-Royce.

He has already joined the firm and will take over the role from Paul Heiden on 1 January when Heiden leaves to join engineering group FKI. Shilston, 57, had previously worked for Enterprise Oil as finance director until its take-over by Shell earlier this year.
The appointment of Shiltson is the third such high profile announcement made by Rolls-Royce in the last month. He follows Schlumberger’s Euan Baird, who will replace Ralph Robins as chairman next year, and Axel Arendt, former chief financial officer at EADS, who becomes chairman of Rolls-Royce Deutschland.
