    New CFO at Scottish Enterprise

    Former CIPFA chairman joins development agency

    Hugh Hall (48), a past chairman of the Chartered Institute of Public Finance
    & Accountancy, has joined Scottish Enterprise in the new role of chief
    financial officer.

    He will take up his post on 1 November 2006.

    Hall is currently managing director, for audit services, at Audit Scotland,
    where he leads the group which works directly with more than 100 public sector
    bodies in Scotland.

    He has previously held senior management roles at VisitScotland, Scottish
    Homes and the Scottish Higher Education Funding Council.

    Scottish Enterprise is the main economic development agency for Scotland and
    is aimed at encouraging innovation in Scottish businesses to make them
    internationally competitive.
