Vantis makes first acquisition

Accountancy consolidator Vantis, has announced its first buy-out since floating on the Alternative Investment Market last month.

It has acquired the non-audit business of Gregory Mitford & Snowball, a four-partner firm in Darlington, for an initial price of £198,316.

The move strengthens Vantis’ presence in the north east – one of its four founding firms, Walkers, is based in Hartlepool, Middlesbrough, East Cleveland and Stokesley.

Vantis chief executive Paul Jackson said the acquisition could provide a solid foundation for the future in the development of the business in the region.

Further acquisitions are expected to follow in the near future.
